Dianomi performs traffic verification on all clicks to ensure advertisers receive accurate, high-quality engagement data. This article explains how our robot detection and click validation process works.
How We Identify Non-Human Traffic
We use a combination of proprietary and third-party signals to identify likely bot or automated traffic:
- Dianomi's internal lists – We maintain our own regularly updated lists of suspicious IP addresses and user agents.
- Hosting facility identification – Each IP address is checked against hosting facility data provided by Transunion, helping us flag traffic originating from data centres and server infrastructure.
- IP reputation scoring – We use Transunion's and other leading third party IP reputation services to identify IP addresses associated with suspicious traffic patterns.
How Suspicious Clicks Are Validated
If a click is flagged as likely non-human based on the above criteria, we pass the user through Google's Invisible reCAPTCHA service. A click is only counted as valid if the user successfully passes this verification step.
