Please note: This guide applies to the new Analytics Reporting interface, released in September 2026. If you do not yet have access to the latest interface, please contact help@dianomi.com or speak to your account manager.
Default Reports are pre-built Analytics reports available within your Dianomi account. They provide quick access to commonly used campaign performance views without requiring you to create and configure a report from scratch.
A range of Default Reports is available, each using a predefined combination of dimensions and metrics to cover the most common ways Dianomi clients analyse their campaign performance.
If a Default Report does not provide the exact breakdown or combination of metrics you need, you can use it as the starting point for a Custom Report, or create a new Custom Report to meet your specific reporting requirements.
Viewing a Default Report
To start using Default Reports:
- Log in to your Dianomi client dashboard.
- Navigate to Analytics.
- The Analytics home page will display the Default Reports available to your account.
- Select the report you want to view.
Step 1: Choose a Default Report
The Default Reports section displays the pre-built reports available to your account.
Each report has a name and description to explain the type of performance data and breakdown it provides. Use these descriptions to identify the report that most closely matches the analysis you want to perform.
For example, different reports may be designed to help you analyse performance by creative, publisher, device, geography, or other commonly used dimensions.
Simply select a report to open it and view your data.
Step 2: Review and filter your results
Once you have selected a Default Report, the report will display your performance data using its predefined dimensions and metrics.
You can then adjust the available filters to focus the report on the data you want to analyse.
For example, you can change the date range or apply relevant campaign filters to narrow down the results.
The underlying Default Report configuration remains the same, allowing you to return to the same reporting view whenever you need it.
Step 3: Create your own version of a Default Report
If a Default Report is close to what you need but does not contain all the dimensions or metrics you require, you do not need to start again from scratch.
You can edit the Default Report and use its existing configuration as the starting point for your own Custom Report.
You can then customise the report by changing its dimensions, metrics, columns, or other available configuration options to create a reporting view that better matches your requirements.
Once you are happy with your changes, save the report as a Custom Report. Your customised version will then be available from the Custom Reports section of Analytics for future use.
The original Default Report will remain available, so you can continue to use the standard version whenever you need it.
Default Reports vs. Custom Reports
Default Reports are designed to give you quick access to commonly used Analytics views and are a good place to start when exploring your campaign performance.
Use a Custom Report when you need a more specific breakdown, a different combination of dimensions and metrics, or a reporting format that you want to save and reuse.
