Please note: This guide applies to the new Analytics Reporting interface, released in September 2026. If you do not yet have access to the latest interface, please contact help@dianomi.com or speak to your account manager.
Custom Analytics Reports allow you to choose exactly how you want to view and analyse your campaign performance. You can select the dimensions and metrics that are most relevant to you, preview the results, and save the report so you can quickly return to the same reporting view in future.
Creating a new Custom Report
To get started:
- Log in to your Dianomi client dashboard.
- Navigate to Analytics.
- Click New Report at the top of the Analytics page.
- Follow the steps below to configure your report.
Step 1: Select your primary dimension
First, select the Dimension you want to use as the primary breakdown for your report.
The dimension determines how your performance data will be grouped. For example, you may want to create a report showing:
- Performance by Creative
- Performance by Device
- Performance by Publisher
- Performance by Geography
Choose the dimension that best matches the question you want the report to answer.
For example, if you want to compare how individual creatives are performing, select Creative as your primary dimension. If you want to understand performance across different publishers, select Publisher.
Step 2: Choose your report columns
Once you have selected your primary dimension, choose the columns you want to include in your report.
There are two types of columns you can add:
- Dimension columns – the data points you want to use to identify or further break down your results.
- Metric columns – the performance statistics you want to analyse.
Select the dimensions and metrics that are relevant to your reporting needs.
You can also change the order in which columns appear in the finished report. Use the column list on the right-hand side of the selection box to rearrange your selected columns into your preferred order.
Step 3: Preview and refine your report
Once you are happy with your column selection, scroll down to the Preview Report section and click Run.
This will generate a preview based on your current configuration.
You can continue making changes to the report after running the preview. For example, you can:
- Add or remove columns.
- Change the order of your columns.
- Adjust the date range.
- Apply or change the campaign filter.
Click Run again whenever you want to refresh the preview and see the results of your changes.
You can repeat this process until the report contains exactly the information you need.
Step 4: Save your Custom Report
When you are happy with the report, click Save.
You will be asked to enter a Name and Description for the report. We recommend using a clear, descriptive name so that you and other users can easily understand the purpose of the report when returning to it later.
You will then need to choose who can access the saved report:
- Personal (Only Me) – The report is available only to you and can be accessed across all of your accounts.
- Account – The report is available to everyone who has access to the account you are currently viewing.
- Personal, Scoped to This Account Only – The report is available only to you and only when you are viewing the current account.
Choose the option that best matches how you intend to use and share the report, then complete the save process.
Step 5: Access and use your saved report
Once saved, your report will appear in the Custom Reports section on the Analytics home page.
Selecting a saved Custom Report will immediately load the report using the format and column configuration you previously created. This means you do not need to rebuild the same reporting view each time you return to Analytics.
From your saved report, you can continue to:
- Change filters and date ranges.
- View the latest performance data.
- Download the report.
- Schedule the report for regular delivery.
- Edit the report configuration.
Any time you need the same reporting format, simply open it from Custom Reports and apply the filters or date range you need.
