The Supply Manager allows you to control where your account's campaigns are eligible to appear by setting default publisher exclusions. Any publishers blocked in the Supply Manager will automatically be excluded from all new campaigns created within your account, helping you maintain brand suitability and ensure your campaigns only run on approved inventory.
There are two ways to block publishers:
- Block by publisher group (domain): This excludes all publishers associated with the same domain. For example, blocking CNN will prevent your campaigns from appearing across all CNN properties, including CNN Lifestyle, CNN App, and CNN Business.
- Block individual publishers: This allows you to exclude a specific publisher while continuing to serve ads on other publishers within the same domain. For example, you can block AP News App while still allowing your campaigns to run on other AP News properties.
By default, you can block up to 50 publishers in the Supply Manager. Once this limit has been reached, a warning indicator will appear to notify you that no additional publisher exclusions can be added unless existing ones are removed.
Publisher Bidding Manager
The Supply Manager also provides access to the Publisher Bidding Manager via the tab at the top of the page.
These two tools are designed to work together to give you greater control over campaign delivery:
- Supply Manager – Used before campaigns go live to define your default publisher exclusions, ensuring campaigns are only eligible to run on the publishers you want from the outset.
- Publisher Bidding Manager – Used after campaigns have collected performance data to optimise delivery. It allows you to adjust bids or block publishers based on real campaign performance, helping you improve efficiency and maximise results over time.
Together, the Supply Manager and Publisher Bidding Manager provide both proactive control over campaign targeting and ongoing optimisation based on performance data.
