Dianomi supports third-party tracking for both clicks and impressions, alongside its own comprehensive analytics and reporting suite. This enables clients to combine external measurement tools with Dianomi’s platform data to gain a more complete and reliable view of campaign performance.
Click Tracking
Dianomi supports third-party click tracking across all campaigns.
Common approaches include:
UTM-based URLs
Most clients use destination URLs containing UTM parameters. These URLs can also include one or more Dianomi macros for enhanced reporting.Enterprise click trackers
Agencies and larger organisations frequently use click tracking solutions such as Google Campaign Manager 360 (formerly DoubleClick Campaign Manager / DCM).
Important requirements:
All click tracking URLs must be secure (HTTPS).
Secure URLs must not redirect to non-secure (HTTP) destinations.
Impression Tracking
For approved clients, Dianomi supports third-party impression tracking at either:
Creative level, or
Campaign level
Impression trackers must be supplied by reputable, industry-standard providers, such as Google Campaign Manager 360.
Accepted Impression Trackers
Only authorised impression tracking tags are permitted in Dianomi’s impression tracker fields.
Important:
Click trackers or landing page URLs must not be placed in impression tracker fields.
Using incorrect URLs in impression tracker fields can lead to significant increases in serving costs and negative impacts on page performance (include potential crashing the page domain).
A selection of commonly used impression trackers has already been validated and can be added directly via my.dianomi.
If your required tracker is not currently accepted, please contact us via the Help Centre or email help@dianomi.com for review and approval.

Impression Tracker Firing Logic
By default, all impression trackers fire at the time of the publisher’s ad call.
If you are using additional third-party tags that fire at a different stage (for example, on page load or upon user interaction), this may result in discrepancies between Dianomi reporting and third-party platform numbers.
Viewability-Based Impression Tracking
If you would prefer your third-party impression trackers to fire only when an ad becomes viewable, please contact us via the Help Centre or email help@dianomi.com. Our team can assist with configuring viewable-based firing where supported.
Limitations to Impression Tracking
There are some environments where third-party impression tracking is not supported:
Apple News
Apple News blocks third-party impression trackers.
Dianomi’s internal reporting will still include Apple News impressions, but third-party trackers will not record them.
Newsletters
Newsletter publishers (including Liveintent and Reuters) do not support third-party impression trackers.
Dianomi reporting will still include newsletter impressions.
Optional Placement Restrictions
If these limitations present reporting challenges, it is possible to request that a campaign or client only appears in environments where third-party impression tracking is supported.
To discuss or enable this option, please contact us via the Help Centre or email help@dianomi.com, and our team will be happy to assist with the setup.
